If you’ve been following me on Facebook you know that today marks my very first Monday as a full-time entrepreneur. I’ve been preparing for this for some time and I am both excited and positively anxious to ramp up all aspects of business…more coaching, more speaking, and more Mastermind Groups. Taking this bold step has required that I consolidate things. So lists have been merged and sited will be purged, and services will be streamlined. While the site, colors, and taglines have changed, the Monday Morning Pep Talk is here to stay!
This morning I challenge you to look for something different, start looking for what you want, look for the results you want.
What you look for makes all the difference in what you get. Consider the person who wants to transition from employee to entrepreneur. In researching their next best move they have two options: look for stories of people who have failed at making the transition or look for stories of people who have become wildly successful by pursuing their passion. Which direction will position you to attract and receive the opportunity you desire?
When I am preparing for a new opportunity, I do everything to keep my intention in front of me. For example, my password at my day job for the last 3 months had been “openExit12.” My intention was to have an open exit door from my job that would lead to coaching, speaking, and writing full-time. So when the opportunity presented itself, I felt totally confident and empowered in choosing to end my relationship with the company I worked with for the last 5 ½ years. They gave me an “Open Exit door” and I took it (along with a severance package)!
So what are you looking for? What intention have you set? If you are not sure…check the results you are getting and closely examine the actions you are taking.
Exciting opportunities abundantly appear in my life.
New opportunities surround me every day. All I need to do is recognize them and take the leap of faith. I have an abundance mindset that keeps my mind open to these new opportunities.
Each morning I greet the new day with excitement and anticipation. I give thanks for my blessings and wonder what good this day will bring. When I search for the good in my day, I often find beautiful, hidden gems.
Living in the moment helps me recognize new opportunities. When I focus on the present, regrets of the past and worries of the future simply cannot exist. I explore all options of the moment in my mind and take decisive action to seize those opportunities that can benefit me.
My abundance mindset includes a healthy optimism that brings me confidence and helps me get over any hurdles in my path. When challenges arise, I expect that there is a solution and I seek it out. I inevitably find it and continue happily toward my goal.
Today, “Seize the day!” is my mantra. My plan is to keep an eye out for those opportunities that I know, without a doubt, will appear and then go for them with all the gusto I’ve got!
- Do I expect that good things will happen to me each day?
- How can I make my mind more open to new possibilities?
- How can I encourage myself to take swift action on the opportunities I find?
