Monday Morning Pep Talk: You Have All the Time You Need to Launch Your Business

| January 9, 2012 | 1 Comment

I found this great post in my Twitter stream the other day called the 10 Things I’ve Never Heard a Successful Start-Up Founder Say. One of things listed was:

“I wish I had spent more time reading and weighing the pros and cons of various philosophies instead of just jumping in and doing what I thought was morally and financially sensible.”

There comes a time when thinking, planning, and researching is overrated – you just have to jump in and do what makes sense. Trust your intuition, disregard the naysayers, and boldly move into your destiny.

If you truly believe that your business is part of your purpose – you dishonor your purpose by not investing the effort and time in taking action. Daydreaming, over-planning, chasing down one more idea – all stall tactics that could possibly cause you to miss the next open door to launch your business.

Today’s pep talk is about honoring your business idea and taking advantage of the time you have.

Life is too short to sit and wonder “what would happen if?” I’m ready to take action!

It is absolutely okay to think about decisions before making them. But if all I do is think about starting my own business, without taking any action, I am letting opportunities pass me by!

Even though I can only work on my business part-time, I have all of the time I need to launch my business. I make good use of the time I have. I focus on the tasks that generate revenue and am working to outsource and delegate the tasks that someone else can do better and faster. If something doesn’t turn out the way I expect,  I can always try again or move onto a new endeavor. I am prepared to value the time as a learning opportunity. It gives me a chance to do things differently the next time.

Each day that I deny my dreams is another day lost that I could have used to make my business dream a reality. I release my fear of rejection and failure and finally do what fills my heart with joy.

I am confident that by launching my business I am walking in my purpose. I know that can achieve whatever I want. Now is the time for me to shine because the world is waiting for my gift.

Today, I passionately pursue my purpose. Today is the day that I choose to find the courage to move toward my goals.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Have I made a decision to pursue my passion without inhibition?
2. What can I do to build my confidence, so I can launch my business?
3. How can I help my loved ones support my dreams?

  1. Good read.. I must admit I am one of those people who have waited too long to get my business launched. A lot of it had to do with my finances not being where I wanted them to be and some of it is due to waiting for “the right time”. What I have to done is set a launch date to help me make steps towards my goal..
